P-05-719 Welsh Assembly Funding of Services – Correspondence from the Petitioner to the Committee, 16.11.16

I am grateful for the reply to my petition by the Minister, but fear that he has not understood the reason for the petition. The text was “We, the undersigned, call on the Assembly to fund critical services in Wales that receive no government funding (such as the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)” and although the Minister mentions third sector organisations he seems to suggest that it should be local authorities that fund these organisations not the Welsh Government. If it is helpful to the Petitions Committee, I would be happy to speak to the committee about this petition, however due to the transport services in Ceredigion I would not be able to reach Cardiff until lunchtime (which I believe is usually after the committee have concluded their meeting).
